How To Cook Wagyu Steak

Wagyu NY strip is versatile and adapts to your culinary preferences for a truly unique dining experience. Wagyu steak should be cooked at room temperature rather than cold to ensure the luscious marbling is distributed evenly while cooking. 

A variety of seasonings and marinades as well as salt and pepper pair well with Wagyu, or you can simply cook the unseasoned steak in its purest form. We recommend pan-searing Wagyu to achieve a tender, juicy steak with a beautiful golden-brown crust. For the perfect medium-rare, sear each side for 3-5 minutes to preserve the delicate flavors. The internal temperature should be 130-140°F.

Wagyu Accompaniments

Complement and bring out the nuanced flavors of this Wagyu striploin with the following accompaniments:

  • Lightly seasoned roasted asparagus, artichokes or Brussels sprouts
  • Braised carrots or sauteed mushrooms with fresh herbs

  • Rice pilaf made with long-grain white rice and vegetable broth
  • Sauteed mushrooms with salt and pepper

Don’t second guess… GET IT!

Look I’ve never had wagyu and I didn’t think my first experience would be me cooking it but I’m so glad I did!

It was so good. So favorful and so delicious. All I did was render some of the fat in a ripping hot cast iron skillet and I only used SALT. That’s it! The sear was gorgeous!

It melts away in your mouth, LITERALLY puts a smile on your face and is an experience I’m so glad I did. Don’t hesitate get the striploin!
